When a light source is present, 3M Scotchlite reflective material shines this light back to anyone in the vicinity of the original light source. In low-light or nighttime conditions, this material is used to enhance the visibility of the wearer. The use of fluorescent color fabrics can add enhanced visibility when combined with reflective material.
